This module combines the requirements for Periodic Training with those of IVR training by incorporating elements of VR04, 05, 06, 13, 15, 17 and 20. Recovery operators taking this course will benefit from having completed part of the training required for Driver CPC and after suitable examination gain certification for the relevant VR module.

The Syllabus

The CRS1116 module counts 7 hours towards the Periodic Training and will have both classroom and field based training.

Classroom based training

• Types of recovery vehicles and their deployment in the field
• Performance features of recovery vehicles
• Equipment checks: functionality and safe use
• Driving a loaded recovery vehicle
